1. Google Groups as shared mailbox

Google Groups can function as a shared mailbox with a individual email address, allowing teams to manage and collaborate on incoming and outgoing communications effectively.

Every Google group will have a group-admin who will delegate group rights to the members. Contact your group-admin or @JD to join the desired group to get access to the shared mailbox.

Use Google Groups as shared mailbox

  1. Navigate to Google Groups
  2. Use the conversation dashboard to receive and send out emails.
  3. All incoming group Emails (shared mailbox emails) will also be redirected to your user Gmail Inbox

Groups settings:

  1. Click on “Group setttings” → “General” → mark “collaborative inbox” and “enable shared labels”

  2. Now scroll to “default sender” → mark “group address”
