Vacation Entitlement

Statutory Basis
- Basic statutory entitlement is 20 days based on a 5-day work week
- You will have 6 month probation period for the initial months where your vacation entitlement is pro-rated
- Pro-rated calculation is 2.08 days per month worked
Vacation days provided as additional benefit from the start of new hire employment
- ahead provides a total of 25 vacation days per year to all full time employees
- This includes statutory minimum (20) plus additional voluntary days (5)
- Granted as a voluntary company benefit pas per § 13 BUrlG: Allows for arrangements favorable to employee.
- Applies regardless of previous employment vacation usage
Legal Documentation (Urlaubsbescheinigung)
- Required from all new employees as per § 6 BUrlG
- This document must be submitted before/during onboarding
- Documents previous vacation usage in current calendar year
- Company maintains additional days commitment regardless of previous usage
